About the Founder
Brice J. Tennant
I am a teacher, scholar, and guide whose work centers on vocation, judgment, personhood, and ethical decision-making under real-world constraint.

My background is in the humanities, primarily philosophy and religion, where I have spent over two decades researching and reflecting upon questions of meaning and value within the realms of self, community, and world. My work has unfolded across classrooms, one-on-one instruction, institutional and professional settings, and serious conversation with individuals navigating academic, professional, and life transitions. I am passionate about helping others discover and create meaning (especially when inherited scripts no longer suffice) and to embody lives that are deeply grounded and aligned with their values, aspirations, and commitments.

What unites my experience is a consistent concern: helping people think clearly and honestly about who they are, what they are responsible for, and what kind of commitments they can inhabit with integrity.

Oak & Owl is an expression of this concern.
